In its length, the creation unfurls the first notes of Prince’s song “Purple Rain“s powerful melody, each note represented by a color, the rhythm of the stripes adopting that of the music: the fabric has become a score. The colors are inspired by both the song's lyrics and the chromatic atmosphere of the song’s video clip.
