Fine Lambskin & Handwoven Tweed
.
Deep Navy Blue leather. Silk lining
.
Limited edition (6 pairs only)
.
.
The tweed used on these women's gloves was originally created and hand woven by Atelier Le Traon for Mobilier National, the French agency in charge of furnishing official buildings (ministries, embassies…). The original fabric was used to upholster two bistro chairs, later exhibited at Les Gobelins museum in Paris and at the French ministries of Culture and Finance.
.
The tartan-inspired one-off fabric is woven in the rhythms of the Morse code, a succession of long and short signals, to transcribe in the weaving Article 1 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
.
Tactile patch on thumbs and forefingers
.
As each glove has a tweed yoke taken from a different area of the fabric, each glove is different and is a unique piece. Hence the gloves you purchase might differ from the ones shown in the picture.
